Homemade Cinnamon Rolls
Heeeyaa!
Straight away I know that you will definitely appreciate this blog post of mine.
It is a less, less naughty Cinnamon Roll recipe of mine as well as recipe of my all time favorite and awesomely amazing 2 ingredient dough [the one I actually enjoy making and sticking my arms into as it`s not making them greasy 😁] aaaand with this dough you can make literally anything, starting with Pizzas [who doesn`t 💙 pizza], all the way to pastries and desserts...
So, less talking, more baking, right?
2 INGREDIENT DOUGH 💜
All you need is love and of course:
- Self raising flour - 220g [I used the gluten free one - makes my tummy less rumbly, there`s a photo below] if too sticky, can always add more flour.
- Onken Natural yoghurt or Greek style yoghurt - 245g
Mix these both together in a bowl, you can start with a spoon but definitely will need some help from your arms at the end. Roll the dough up in a ball, bake something yummy straight away or you can keep it in a fridge wrapped up with a cling film. I would usually leave it for 1 day, not more.
HOMEMADE CINNAMON ROLLS 💛
Bring some love with this one as well, it makes the food yummier!
- 2 ingredient dough - I used half of the amount I made and put the other half in the fridge.
- Butter - 40g [for a healthier option use dairy free sunflower spread as I did - less cals, less worries, right? There`s a photo below]
- Brown Sugar - 2 tbsp. [I used as less as I could, if you like them sweeter add more at your own risk 😁]
- Cinnamon - 2 tbsp. [same amount as sugar]
Roll out the dough about 2 mm thick or as thick as you like, if it`s sticking to the roll or the surface you`re using, powder some more flour underneath it or on the roller.
Melt the butter in microwave, add sugar and cinnamon, mix together and spread it over the dough. A lot of rolling happens here, so, roll the dough up in a big roll now 😆 how do I even explain it differently? 😅 Anyway, have a look at the photos. Cut it up and place the pieces on the baking pan with grease proof paper.
Bake at 180℃ for 15-20 minutes or until they are lightly brown.
These cinnamon rolls will be crunchy and absolutely munchy!
I counted up Nutritional Value of these and roughly each of the roll turns out to be only 40 calories. Not bad right? But lets not mention the value of sugar though 😉 although I can say that these homemade munchies definitely have less fat than the store bought ones as well as doesn`t contain any unneeded ingredients. Your tummies will much more appreciate these 💪
If you`re feeling extra naughty - add some ice cream of your choice and WOLA!
Let me know what you think 💕
Much Love.
Enjoy your treat day,
Eliza Fit Mom x
