Peanut Butter Choc Protein Balls [Easter Special]
Happy Easter Everyone 🐣
Last year I did not get to enjoy any bit of Easter celebration, so I guess I am catching up on it this year with a lots of `good baking` and experimenting with the ingredients.
This is my original self made recipe and this was my first attempt on making it, and all of it turned out OH so GOOD! I should put a trademark on it 💁
My creation - inspired by my addiction to peanut butter and being in a great Easter mood.
My special ingredients:
- PbFit Powdered Peanut Butter - 4 Tbsp. mixed with water to form normal peanut butter like texture [less fat, less problems] alternatively you can use your regular peanut butter;
- Sweet Freedom Fruit Syrup - 2 Tbsp. alternatively you can use honey;
- Vanilla Extract - 1tbsp;
- Pinch of Salt
- Protein Powder - 60g which is 2 serving scoops [preferably peanut butter or chocolate flavored];
- Cocoa Powder - 2 Tbsp.
- Optional - Sweet Freedom Choc Pot, Pop Sticks and decoration wafers.
How to make these gooey balls?
- Start with mixing together peanut butter, fruit syrup, vanilla extract and salt.
- After that is mixed together, add protein powder and cocoa. Mix with spatula at the beginning, but at the end it will be easier to finish off with your hands.

- After that is done, split the dough up in to 8 about the same sized balls and if wanted, put the sticks in as well. Let them chill in the fridge for about an hour.
- The very last step is to add the decorations of your choice. I preferred to dip the balls in some extra chocolate - Sweet Freedom Choc Pot is amaaaazing, 14 calories per serving!
I did my nutritional calculations and compared them to some other protein balls you can get from the shop. Have a look!
No nasty's:
💚 Calories per ball - 54 cal without the decoration part
[if you followed the recipe and did everything as written]
💚 Protein per ball - 7.5g
💚 Fats per ball - 1.4g [so low, makes me so happy]
💚 Sugars per ball - 3.6g [and this one 😍]
This truly is an amazing Guilt Free treat you can have over Easter. Who needs them chocolate eggs anymore?! Not me.
I compared these to the UK`s popular `Bounce` protein energy balls and here`s the difference:
- `Bounce`- 184 calories, 13g protein, 7.1g fats and 13g sugars per one 45g ball.
Lastly, I just want to mention how very proud I am of myself. This is proper #recipegoals 😅💪
Be ready to enjoy every bite of it ❤
